Rustic oak bridge...Finished!


Finally manged to get around to finishing the oak bridge I've been working on for a while.


 The hand rails were taken from the same trunk as the main curved supports, cleft from a 2" board and carved down with axe and draw knife, before being finished with the travisher.






I'm really pleased with how its come out, the off ramps and hand rails have made a huge difference to the overall effect. Whilst it does stand out at the moment, as the oak seasons it will take on a greyish silver tint that will sit much better with the surroundings
