Tricky Poplar

Had a challenging 3 days last week for CTC pollarding a couple of big awkward white poplars.

Right next to a main train line and with most of the one side overhanging a couple of fences and some industrial units this one will definitely be one I remember for awhile!

Lots of cutting and lots of rigging, theres a few videos on my other Blog if you want to see some rigging in action

Couple of reductions

Some more work for Complete Tree Care whilst working in London
Couple of nice reductions, the first was a storm damaged Swamp Cypress to rebalance
Before

After

Before (front)

After (front)

Not the most natural look I'm afraid, but being such a brittle species prone to storm damage the reduction in height was a necessary evil and with not a huge amount to work with interms of adequate growth points I did about the best I could. We also carried out a slight crown thin with the aim of further reducing the potential for storm damage.

Next up was the ash you can see just behind the Cypress

Having been reduced numerous times before it was just a case of reducing all the regrowth back to somewhere near the previous pruning cuts

'Leggy' eucalyptus

Had this quite spindly hat still pretty tall eucalyptus to fell last friday, (as well as a couple of reductions)

Nothing too technical, rigged most of it, was surprised how tall it was as I was pretty much at the roof level of some pretty big 4 story town houses.
